Say It Loud, inspired by the iconic James Brown anthem, is an exhibition that embraces the notion of making a statement with unwavering confidence. In the North Carolina A&T Visual Arts Program we strive to develop confident, unapologetic, and free-thinking artists that aren’t afraid to have their message heard. The works in this exhibition range from personal to collection narratives expressed through multiple mediums representative of what our artists think, feel, and know about the world. We feel that in the current landscape it is more important than ever to speak up and, as James Brown said, “SAY IT LOUD!”
